<p><span id="more-11"></span></p>
<p>Illustrator CS2 has powerful feature called &#8220;Blend Tool&#8221;, and I&#8217;ve used it.</p>
<p><img src="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image001.png" alt="Blend Tool" /></p>
<p>For beginning, let&#8217;s create some vector object, for example star.</p>
<p><img src="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image003.png" alt="Vector object" /></p>
<p>We will put a circle inside it. Then we will select both object, choose Blend Tool and click at the circle and star vertex. As a result we will get something like following, depending on previous settings:</p>
<p><img src="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image005.png" alt="Blend Tool start" /></p>
<p>Will change settings to following values:</p>
<p><a href="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image007.png" rel="lightbox[blend]" title="Blend Tool options"><img src="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image007.thumbnail.png" alt="Blend Tool options" /></a></p>
<p>When objects are large, we need more steps. Now we can change outline color, opacity to get more satisfactory results. Let&#8217;s expiriment! Here is several examples of what I got using Blend Tool:</p>
<table border="0">
<tr>
<td><a href="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image009.png" rel="lightbox[blend]" title="Blend Tool: Example 1"><img src="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image009.thumbnail.png" alt="Blend Tool: Example 1" /></a></td>
<td><a href="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image011.png" rel="lightbox[blend]" title="Blend Tool: Example 2"><img src="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image011.thumbnail.png" alt="Blend Tool: Example 2" /></a></td>
<td><a href="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image013.png" rel="lightbox[blend]" title="Blend Tool: Example 3"><img src="http://iris-design.info/wp-content/uploads/2006/11/image013.thumbnail.png" alt="Blend Tool: Example 3" /></a></td>
</tr>
</table>
<p>I think, this trick will be helpful for you one day.</p>
